I only really understand music within a context. I need to understand what its reason to exist is, what it looks like and what political, geographical and artistic ground it grew on. Sometimes the music itself tells it all, but very often I need a visual with the sound. Many people seem to need the same thing.
On the other hand, when a visual is present , music can create different feelings depending on the moods of the colliding art-forms.
In June I was walking by myself in the Marais, in Paris, when my ipod played this song and it was immediately clear that I was in the right place.
